BVN can be received free-to-air, 24 hours a day in North America with a digital satellite receiver via the
SES-1satellite on 101 degrees west.
- In these regions all you need is a modern free-to-air (FTA) DVB receiver and a good quality satellite dish.
- Recommended dish sizes: USA 75 cm or larger, Canada 80 cm or larger. The correct size of satellite dish is extremely important for good interference-free reception.
-
Some parts of North America are outside the SES-1 footprint, which makes reception of BVN via
SES-1 impossible. This includes the Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama regions. For these regions reception via the SatMex 6 satellite is an alternative option.
